[Accessibility Conference- World Hearing Day]

This Accessibility Conference is held in honour of World Hearing Day. The aim of this event is to raise awareness about disabilities, with a focus on deafness, hearing loss, and related ear-disorders. Targeting HR Professionals, who are usually the first point of contact for disabled individuals, alongside future leaders who would like to learn how to be more accessible and inclusive within workplaces. Speakers, and workshops will provide attendees with insights and a solid understanding of disabilities within professional environments

World Hearing Day is a Global campaign held annually by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The purpose of this day is to raise awareness for deafness and hearing loss, and promote ear and hearing care around the world. The theme for 2022 is "To hear for life, listen to care"

Human live closed captioning services in English available for all attendees during zoom conferencing

*Note that if these accommodations are required during the event it is better to sign into the zoom conference call via a large screen such as a laptop screen, over a smaller device, such as a phone screen.

Write questions in the chat function in zoom. The chat will be moderated continuously during the event
Verbally:
Ask questions verbally by using the ‘raise hand’ function on zoom after the speaker has finished talking.
Zoom Conference rules:
Please show respect, politeness and consideration to all individuals who attend the event
Please ensure what you remain muted during the conference, as to not cause potential noise disturbances to other attends
If you'd like to talk please raise the virtual hand on zoom and wait to be called upon
Please try have your camera turned on during the conference if possible, but especially when asking questions verbally to ensure to accommodate to all
