Hello, my name is Alex Capuñay Gonzales. I'm from Peru and currently I'm living in Chile. I'm a part time professor at the Matematics deparment of Federico Santa Maria University at Santiago de Chile.
I have completed my PhD in Mathematics in December 2020 at the University of Chile under the guidance of prof. Eduardo Friedman. My thesis topic was "Computing Shintani fundamental domains", here I pretend to give an algorithm to find explicitly a Shintani domain, which is a union of rational polyhedral cones with generators in a number field.
Also I did my Master's studies in math at the Bio-Bio University finished in January 2015 under the direction of prof. Nicolas Thériault. And I did my undergraduate studies in math at the Pedro Ruiz Gallo University in Peru completed in 2012.
My topic of interest is computational algebraic number theory
