I mentor students applying to geoscience graduate programs through the Earth and Planetary Science Department's new Graduate Admission Assistance Program (GAAP).
I also volunteer as a panelist for a workshop through the Geoscience Education and Mentorship Support (GEMS) organization for students applying for the NSF GRFP.
I am a mentor for local elementary and high school students through Science Club for Girls in which I support STEM self-efficacy in young students. In the past, I mentored Boston middle schoolers through Tutoring Plus. Students attend these after school programs for support with schoolwork and future goals.
At Dartmouth, I mentored undergraduate students through the Women in Science Project for three years. I supported students in their research endeavors, selecting courses, and planning their professional futures.
I served on the Executive Council of the Dartmouth Undergraduate Research Association, working to improve the equity and accessibility of Dartmouth's research opportunities.
I am working towards a Harvard Bok Teaching Certificate for additional pedagogical training to improve my teaching, particularly in STEM fields.
As a TA for the Introductory Earth Sciences course, How the Earth Works at Dartmouth College, I held office hours, led laboratory sections, and graded student materials.
I also held tutorials for the introductory course Evolution of Earth and Life in which I directed sessions to review class material, answer student questions, and foster meaningful discussions.
