2019 Season Schedule

Meet the acalanes WOMEN's volleyball Coaches

Haley Walsh

Haley is the Varsity Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the JV and Freshman teams. She most recently has been coaching with the Xceleration volleyball club following a highly successful career playing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ and at Portland State University in Oregon where she was a two-time Big Sky Fall All-Academic honoree in 2016 and 2017. She is a Las Lomas HS graduate where she played DS/Libero and Outside Hitter and was on the North Coast Section (NCS) Division II Championship team in 2012, followed by achieving 2nd team All-League in 2013, and 1st team All-League and MVP in 2014. Haley is excited to bring her passion for volleyball, competition and the value of teamwork and commitment to Acalanes.

Alan Go

Alan is the JV Head Coach and Varsity and Freshman Assistant Coach. He has recently coached on the Freshman Girls Team and JV Boys Team at Acalanes. He is the current President for the Lafayette Girls Volleyball Association (LGVA) that is committed to promote development of girls volleyball in Lamorinda and is a core supporter of the Acalanes Lady Dons Volleyball Program. Alan has also served as a team physician for our Varsity, JV and Freshman teams. He has previously coached women's teams in the Bay Area and also supported various girls teams in the Diablo Valley Volleyball Club in addition to coaching recreational LMYA teams. Alan previously played as a setter and outside hitter, and he is a avid learner and enthusiastic teacher of volleyball techniques and strategies. Alan is committed to create a positive team environment and to improve individual skills and team performance while deepening a love for the game.

Roman Seguerre

Roman is the Freshman Head Coach and Varsity and JV Assistant Coach. He previously coached all three levels of Girls Volleyball at Berean Christian HS, as well as Boys and Girls Volleyball at North Creek Academy, both in Walnut Creek. He has managed teams of endurance athletes where complementary competencies apply and transfer readily to coaching. He uses sports to create a positive, challenging and collaborative environment where each player has an opportunity to be successful, teaching life lessons and habits to become a better competitor, teammate and person on and off the court. He and his wife, Jean, are dedicated sports parents, supporting their daughter, Gillian, throughout her school and club volleyball playing career. Roman is also currently pursuing a Masters of Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
