Incoming Freshman Welcome Camp: June 17-20th (5-7 pm daily) - Main Gym

Lafayette Girls Volleyball Association (LGVA)-hosted Pre-Tryout Clinic (4-Day Clinic): August 5-8th
Incoming Freshmen: 5-6:55 pm daily
Returning Students: 7-9 pm daily
These fast-paced clinics will help prepare girls for tryouts. The clinic fee is $275, with signup form to be posted soon!

2023 Season Recap
Congratulations to all 3 teams and especially to our graduating seniors, Jade Profilio and Mika Bocobo!
The Varsity team finished second in league and extended the #1 seed, Harbor High School, to five sets in the State Division III Playoffs!
Kudos to the JV team for an undefeated 12-0 league record this season to repeat as League Champions (and extend their 22-0 league record over the past two seasons)!
Congratulations to the Freshman team for their performance as well, including finishing 8-4 this season and a third place finish!

Meet the acalanes WOMEN's volleyball Coaches
Haley is in her fifth year as Varsity Head Coach, along with supporting the JV and Freshman teams as an Assistant Coach. In her inaugural year in 2019, she led the Varsity Team to the Division III North Coast Section (NCS) Finals and qualification for the Division II CIF State Playoffs. Haley is also a coach at Diablo Valley Volleyball Club.
She had a highly successful collegiate volleyball career playing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ and at Portland State University in Oregon where she was a two-time Big Sky Fall All-Academic honoree in 2016 and 2017. She is a Las Lomas HS graduate where she played Defensive Specialist/Libero and Outside Hitter and was on the NCS Division II Championship team in 2012, followed by achieving 2nd team All-League in 2013, and 1st team All-League and MVP in 2014. Haley is excited to continue to bring her passion for volleyball, competition and the value of teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship to Acalanes. She also helps supervise the Acalanes Female Athletic Board (FAB) to advance gender equity in sports and to empower girls overall.
Alan is in his fifth year as the JV Head Coach, along with serving as the Varsity and Freshman Assistant Coach, and overseeing setter development for the Acalanes program. His 2023 JV team went undefeated in league (12-0), and his 2022 JV team went 27-1 overall, with an undefeated league record (10-0) and becoming Champions of the East County Invitational and Runner-up at the Paganini Invitational Tournament. He has AOCV Head Coach and Setter Coach Certifications, IMPACT Certification from USA Volleyball, and SafeSport certification.
Alan previously helped coach the Freshman Girls Team and is on the Boys Volleyball Coaching staff at Acalanes. He is Past President for the Lafayette Girls Volleyball Association (LGVA) that is committed to promote development of girls volleyball in Lamorinda and is a core supporter of the Acalanes Women's Volleyball Program. Alan has also served as a team physician for our Varsity, JV and Freshman teams. He is a coach at Diablo Valley Volleyball Club in addition to previously coaching women's teams in the Bay Area as well as recreational LMYA teams. Alan previously played as a setter and outside hitter, and he is an avid learner and enthusiastic teacher of volleyball techniques and strategies. Alan is committed to create a positive team culture and to improve individual skills and team performance while deepening a love for the game.
Roman is in his fifth year as Freshman Head Coach, as well as being Varsity and JV Assistant Coach, and supervising defensive skill development across the Acalanes program. He is IMPACT and SafeSport certified. He previously coached all three levels of Girls Volleyball at Berean Christian High School, along with Boys and Girls Volleyball at North Creek Academy, both in Walnut Creek, CA. Roman is also a coach at Diablo Valley Volleyball Club.
He uses sports to create a positive, challenging and collaborative environment where each player has an opportunity to be successful, along with teaching life lessons and habits to become a better competitor, teammate and person on and off the court. He and his wife, Jean, are dedicated sports parents, having supported their daughter, Gillian, throughout her school and club volleyball playing career.
