Promoting Academic Honesty in Online Courses

Description:  During this session, we will highlight the reasons why students act in an academically dishonest fashion, distinguish between different types of academically dishonest behaviour, and discuss strategies that can be implemented across the curriculum (content and assessments) in your online courses in order to promote academic honesty. 

Learning outcomes
By the end of this session participants will be able to: 

• Identify different types of academically dishonest behaviour. 

• Recognize factors promoting academically dishonest behaviour. 

• Apply strategies to both reduce academically dishonest and promote academically honest behaviour
