INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Location Data

What we collect:

Precise GPS location while you are actively using the App to track fitness activities (runs, walks, cycling)
Background location data when you have granted "Always Allow" permission, enabling continuous GPS tracking even when the App is minimized or your device is locked

Why we collect it:

To track your fitness routes in real-time
To calculate distance, pace, speed, and elevation
To map your workout routes on interactive maps
To provide detailed analytics and performance metrics
To enable offline map downloads for your area

How we use it:

Location data is processed primarily on your device
Route data is stored locally and optionally synced to your account when you save a workout
We do not sell or share your location data with third parties
You can delete saved routes and workout data at any time

Your control:

You can grant location access "While Using the App" or "Always Allow"
You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings
Background location is only used during active workout tracking sessions

Health and Fitness Data

What we collect:

Step count from HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android)
Heart rate data during workouts and resting heart rate
Heart rate variability (HRV)
Calories burned (active and total)
Distance traveled from health platform integrations
Sleep data (duration and quality)
Exercise sessions and workout types
Oxygen saturation (SpO2)
Respiratory rate
Body measurements (weight, height, body fat percentage) if you choose to log them

Health data is read from your device's health platform (HealthKit on iOS, Health Connect on Android)

You choose whether to grant access to health data during onboarding
You can revoke health data access in your device settings
We only read data you explicitly authorize

Activity and Motion Data

Motion sensor data from accelerometer and gyroscope
Workout duration and intensity

Why we collect it:

To automatically detect workout types
To provide fallback tracking when GPS is unavailable

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Local storage: Most fitness data is processed and stored locally on your device
Cloud sync: When you sign in, your data is securely synced to Firebase (Google Cloud)
Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL. Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption
Access controls: Your account is protected by Firebase Authentication with secure password hashing

DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use Firebase (Google Cloud) for authentication, database, and storage. These services are bound by their own privacy policies and data protection agreements.

Deletion

Delete individual workouts or routes from the App
Delete your entire account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account

Opt-Out

Revoke location permissions in your device settings
Disable health data access in HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android)
Turn off push notifications in your device settings
Uninstall the App to stop all data collection

Correction

Update your profile information (name, photo) in the App
Edit workout details if GPS data was inaccurate

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@abxmotion.io.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
