I am an Associate Professor of Finance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and a Research Fellow at CEPR. Before joining the school in 2021, I was an Associate Professor of Finance at INSEAD where I spent the first 10 years of my academic career. I hold a PhD in Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt.
My research investigates the impact of financial and institutional frictions (such as trading frictions, investment mandates, heterogeneous beliefs, etc.) on investors' portfolio decisions, equilibrium asset prices, and informational efficiency. I am very fortunate to work with an amazing set of co-authors on these projects. My work has been published in top Finance and Economics journals, such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Monetary Economics.
I am currently serving as an Associate Editor of the Review of Finance. I am also a co-chair of the asset-pricing commitee for the Adam Smith Workshop.
At Frankfurt School, I teach “Corporate Finance” topics in the school’s MBA programmes as well as in the Master in Management. In addition, I teach “Empirical Asset Pricing” in the PhD programme. I have also has ample teaching experience in Executive Education - in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
