ScanMath ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. ScanMath is designed and built as a 100% offline application. We do not collect, transmit, store on external servers, sell, or share any personal or non-personal user data.
No Personal Data Collection: ScanMath does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or IP address.
No Telemetry or Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, tracking tools, or advertising frameworks.
Local Data Storage: Any equation history, saved formulas, or custom user preferences (such as angle units and decimal precision) are saved strictly on your local device storage using standard on-device mechanisms. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time directly through the in-app settings menu.
To provide specific user-requested functionality, ScanMath requests access to device storage permissions:
Storage / Media Access Permission (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): This permission is strictly utilized when you explicitly trigger the "Export PDF" function. It enables the app to write and save the generated PDF solution document into your device’s local Download or Documents directory.
We do not read, inspect, or modify any files on your device other than writing the solution PDFs that you explicitly choose to export.
ScanMath is suitable for students and users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal data whatsoever from any user, ScanMath fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
ScanMath operates fully offline and does not integrate third-party APIs, web services, or ad networks.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Since the app functions entirely offline, updates to this policy will be included alongside app updates on the Google Play Store.
