Abstract by DesigN Gallery

Deborah Nicol is an emerging self taught artist, working primarily in Acrylics. Deb started her artistic endeavors with pencil portraits, quickly moving into Oil Pastels and Oils and expanding into landscapes and paintings of children. The art slowed as her family grew but she continued with pencil sketches of many subjects. In recent years she has moved into Acrylics and finding her true passion in Abstract venues. She uses many colors that are emotive of the sea, the shore and the woods. She is influenced by her surroundings, family and friends. The thoughts and feeling of the artist appear in the work and hope to strike a chord with the viewer.

Deborah Nicol lives and works in Parksville, BC, Canada.

She is an Artist in Residence at The MacMillan Art Gallery in Parksville, BC as well as an Artist in Gallery 8 at The Old School House in Qualicum Beach, BC.
