"For the two of us more interested in an authentic tour, he picked us up and took us to Xunantunich ruins (where his tour guide friend Nas told us all about the history and traditions of Mayan people - can’t recommend him enough as he actually worked on the archeology digs). After the hot trek, Abe handed us cold coconuts that we tapped and drank. It was so refreshing after a hot hike! He took us to get lunch, to the butterfly farm, and Oxmul Coffee. All of which was amazing and something he had arranged for us. However, it was the conversation and look at local life and traditions that really stood out. Abe is deeply knowledgeable and kind and I count him as a friend now.
