In New Orleans, Jon started the Digital Filmmaking program at Loyola University and served as department chair and full-time faculty member for 8 years. His role at Loyola also included being the Film Production Liaison, where he coordinated all campus departments and staff that supported film productions on their two campuses and residential properties.
An outdoor enthusiast and former marathon runner, Jon lives with his wife Janell Kalifey at 336 Audubon Blvd.
As president, my goals are to foster relationship building and increase communications between our members through social events; provide more access and information between the board and its members; increase member participation in the ABPA; establish a wider security presence and improve communications between the sheriff deputies and our members; update the ABPA directory; improve the landscape of our neutral ground; and, establish online technology as a means of communicating and coordinating our association business and social affairs.
Janell Kalifey has been a New Orleanian for 35 years and a proud resident of Audubon Blvd since 2006. A graduate of Tulane University and Tulane School of Social Work, she is a private practice psychotherapist with a specialization in athlete mental health and sport performance. As Associate Faculty of the New Orleans-Birmingham Psychoanalytic Center, she serves in various leadership roles including chairing membership initiatives and outreach programs.
Married to Jon Vogl, she enjoys being outdoors, running, gardening, and practicing yoga. Knowing that the quality of a neighborhood can greatly impact mental health and longevity, she is committed to fostering community well-being and enhancing our neighborhood’s vibrancy and unity.
Allison Lestelle has resided at 326 Audubon Blvd with her husband, Evan, and their two children, Sienna and Asher, since May 2021. Allison attended Tulane University and Tulane Law School. Allison has worked in compliance for the past several years at Bank of America.
Jamala Roux moved to the neighborhood with her husband, Jason, in 2019 and has proudly called this “suburb of the city” home ever since. Raised in New Orleans, she’s lived all over the city, from parts of Uptown to the Irish Channel, so you know she’s got plenty of stories to share.
A proud graduate of Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Management, Jamala currently serves as the Director of Human Resources at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival — a role she’s rocked since 2006. (Yes, she’s probably seen more festival food and music legends than the rest of us combined.)
When she’s not busy keeping Jazz Fest running smoothly, you can find Jamala doing light home renovations, entertaining friends & family, cuddling with their dog, Fitz, or captaining her coed soccer team. Whether she’s scoring goals or helping neighbors, Jamala embodies the spirit of community.
