STEP Pakistan has been successfully running regular STEP classes in major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Gilgit and Hunza. these classes cater students from grade 8th to 11th. Other than that, STEP pakistan also caters to regions where regular STEP classes are not operated, including the remotest regions of Pakistan such as valleys of upper Chitral and GB. These regions are taught STEP modules by our STEP teachers in camp setting twice a year.
STEP camps were initiated in the year 2013 and each year aimed to cater more students than the previous years. In 2019, 24 camps were conducted in different parts of the country stretching from the villages in Sindh to the valleys of Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral. In 2019, almost 1600 students were able to study the STEP modules through these camps. During Covid-19, STEP initiated online teaching so that students do not miss out on their religious education for too long. Again, for regions where internet facilities were not easily available, STEP Pakistan came up with an Asynchronous teaching model in which teacher recorded sessions and workbooks were distributed to the students.
Overall, STEP Pakistan is trying to increase it’s reach to as many secondary students as possible.
