Responding to local needs, it introduced computer courses, BS in Tourism, and BS in Entrepreneurship. In 1986, it became Palawan Polytechnic College. Mr. Eric Henry I. Alterado became president in 1996, succeeded by Ms. Aileen A. Alterado in 2006. It added technical-vocational courses like Consumer Electronics and Automotive Servicing, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005. A ladderized Deck Seafaring course was introduced in 2009.
