Biography

I am currently working as a Senior lecturer in the School of Computing and Engineering at UoD, UK.

Before joining UoD, I worked at the department of computer science, Aberystwyth University, Aberystwyth, Wales, UK. Previously, I had served as an assistant professor at the department of computer science, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Islamabad Pakistan (From 2008-2020). My research interests include applied cryptography, security & privacy in distributed systems including cloud computing, smart grids, and blockchain.

Before joining CUI, I was a PostDoc fellow at the e-security laboratory of Politecnico De Torino, Italy (2009-2011). I was awarded the prestigious fellowship for young researcher by Politecnico De Torino for my postdoctoral research.

I did my PhD from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, P.R.China. The title of my PhD thesis was "Secure Mobile Agent Computations".

I did my MSc in computer science from Quaid i Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. I have a BSC with majors in mathematics and physics.
