About me and my therapy practice
My background is in Gestalt and Person Centred modalities. As my practice has evolved I have come to see my way of working as Pluralistic, in recognition that there is no one way of working with a particular client or presenting issue. My work centres on the client's experience in the here and now. I encourage clients to be curious about what feels live for them and use this as a starting point to explore what needs attending to.
I approach my work as a collaborative process where the relationship between client and therapist is of utmost importance, and support clients to experience and understand their feelings in a non-judgemental, confidential environment.
In addition to my private practice, I have experience working in a variety of voluntary settings and with young people aged 18 + in a Higher Education setting.
I hold a professional diploma in Gestalt counselling and psychotherapy, and an MSc in Applied Psychology and am continually undertaking long and short forms of professional development.
