I was selected as a summer intern under the guidance of Dr. M. Felix Orlando. For the period I was involved in two projects. The first was the implementation of a continuous joint angle estimation using online EEG signals. The aim of the project was to use statistical parameters of EEG signals to classify the action of index finger using a neural network that was interfaced using LabVIEW. The second project was to simulate a fuzzy controller for a biped walking robotic system.
I was selected as an Indian Academy of Sciences Summer Research Fellow under the guidance of Dr. Partha Sarathi Mandal. I was involved in the design of algorithms for rescue robots in a graph topology. I studied various traversal techniques and communication protocols between multiple agents on a graph. Finally, I proposed a combination of a greedy and dynamic programming-based algorithm for rescue at multiple nodes with a single rescuer on a graph.
