Dr. T. K. Abilasha

Dr. T. K. Abilasha is a self-driven woman aimed to inspire and empower young minds to pursue academic and personal excellence by providing quality education to the society. She obtained her M.Sc. degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University followed by a M. Tech degree in NDT from NIT Trichy. Later she pursued her Ph.D from the center for NDE, IIT Madras primarily focusing on ultrasonic wave propagation studies in complex geometries.

Prior joining to PSGITECH, she was employed as a Lead Engineer in Vestas wind technology focusing on Machine Learning approaches to replace humans from mundane repetitive tasks. During her employment as a Project Officer in IIT Madras, she has delivered solutions to industrial consultancy and sponsored projects for the prestigious organizations like DRDO, ISRO, IGCAR, BHEL and NAL. She has also worked as a teaching faculty in NIT Trichy and NIT Warangal and has guided 1 Ph.D, 10 Post graduate and 4 under graduate students on various projects and has over 31 technical publications in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. She is a Lean Six Sigma BLACK BELT certified professional with an ASNT level II certification in UT, RT, PT, ECT and MT.  She possess core competency in Advanced NDE methods (Guided wave UT, PAUT, TOFD, Infrared Thermography, Optical NDE). and has delivered several invited talks in conferences and academic institutes.as well.

With more than 14 years of professional experience and contributions in the field of Physics, Material science and Non Destructive Testing,  she is  highly passionate to foster cross discipline collaboration in Teaching, Research and Industry and enjoys working with a multi cultural team
