President, UC Merced Chapter of NOBCChE
In Fall 2025, we launched UC Merced Chapter of NOBCChE. Our chapter is dedicated to supporting students in STEM through representation, professional development, mentorship, and community-building. Abigail currently serves as the 2025/2026 President. Abigail collaborated with colleagues from the Chemistry and Biochemistry (CBC), Quantitative and Systems Biology (QSB), and Bioengineering departments to start the Chapter.Β
The establishment of NOBCChE UCM was made possible through the strong support of many UC Merced Faculty, especially our Chapter Advisor, ππ«π¨π. ππ²ππ§ πππ±πππ«, Grad Dean ππ«π¨π. ππ«ππ§π ππ«ππππ‘π’ππ§, School of Natural Sciences Dean ππ«π¨π. ππ’ππ‘πππ₯ π π’π§ππ₯ππππ«, and the CBC Department.
Delegate, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, UC Merced GSA
She volunteered as Delegate for UC Merced Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Graduate Student Association (GSA), for the 2024/2025 academic year. The Graduate Delegate Assembly serves as an official forum to discuss campus and graduate student matters, as a governing body of the GSA. Graduate Student Representative, Ex-Officio member (non-voting), UC Merced, Admissions and Financial Aid Committee (AFAC).
Treasurer, UC Merced, CBC Graduate Group Club, Ground State
During the 2022/2025 academic year, Abigail served as a treasurer of UC Merced Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Ground State Club. She managed the club's fund. She volunteered on Graduate Visitation Days, helping with campus tours and graduate student information session. She was part of the Graduate Student Panel for Virtual Graduate Visitation for incoming international graduate students.

In Fall 2024, Abigail served as a Graduate Student Panelist for UC Merced Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, TA Training for incoming graduate students during GROW.
