Abigail Watkins

I am a third year PhD student at Indiana University in Bloomington advised by Julia Plavnik. Previously, I was mentored by Dave Rose at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

I am interested in fusion, tensor, braided, modular, and module categories, Hopf algebras, quantum groups, quantum topology, and (co)homological algebra.

Recently I have spent my time thinking about the interactions between module categories and different constructions of fusion categories. In addition, I am currently working on projects related to the classification of modular tensor categories and exploring connections between orbifold data and constructions of fusion categories.
