Abigail Snyder is a second-year MA student in the Religious Studies department at the University of Virginia, where her concentration is Judaism in antiquity. Prior to studying at UVA, she earned a BA in English literature, with a minor in biology, from Hillsdale College in Michigan. She is interested in exploring the influence of Roman culture on early rabbinic texts, and her current project compares Roman and rabbinic attitudes toward boundaries of ritualized space.
