My name is Abid Mohammad Ali. I am a Ph.D. student (Pre Qualifier) in Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico. I am also working as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant in the University of New Mexico. I conduct my GTA duties in the Microprocessor lab assisting mostly undergraduate students with their projects. I expect to graduate in Spring 2027 with my Ph.D.
I received my Bachelor's degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals in Computer Science and Engineering in 2019, one of the leading universities in Bangladesh. I completed my Master's Degree from Western Illinois University in Computer Science in Summer 2023, where I have also worked as a Research Assistant.
I have profound interest in Machine Learning and its implementation in the filed of Internet of Things (IoT). I have prior experience in the area of agricultultue where I have implemented IoT projects to acheive better crop production. Using computer interface, computer vision and advanced machine learning technique, I take input data from the environment with different sensors and develop an inteligent system that would take smart decisions with a purpose of achieving optimal crop production, keeping the environment clean.
I have gained experience in the field of networking as well when I worked as an Engineering intern at Robi Axiata Limited, one of the leading mobile network companies in Bangladesh.
On a personal note, I am a sports enthusiastic person and my hobby is listening to music.
