My reseach interests are in quantitative epidemiology and statistics methods for clinical trials. My research focus was in epidemic modeling for respiratory pathogens under household clustering during my PhD at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Braunschweig. During my postdoc at the Tropeninstitut am LMU Klinikum München I shifted to working on longitudinal data analysis and design and analysis of clinical trials/diagnostic studies for infectious diseases such as Tuberculosis, HIV and SARS-CoV-2. I continue this research work through statistical consulting for the University in my free time. Besides this I provide lectures at the Teaching and Training Unit at Tropeninstitut on introductory medical statistics, and statistical aspects of clinical trials primarily to medical professionals. My current research focus is in Oncology Trials currently at Sanofi and formerly at MorphoSys AG working as a trial statistician. I also enjoy working on innovative data visualization and summarization for presenting clinical trial data to clinicians, study monitors and drug safety scientists. Additionally I supported the Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) department in non-clinical biostatistics at MorphoSys AG.
