👋 Hi, I’m Abhinav Gudipati

I’m a Pre-Doctoral Research Associate at the Indian School of Business under the mentorship of Prof. Ramabhadran Thirumalai.

My research focuses on questions in empirical finance, market microstructure and topics in capital markets accounting. 

Looking ahead, I aim to pursue a PhD to deepen my understanding and contribute to impactful, interdisciplinary work at the intersection of financial economics and data-driven research.

I previously worked as a Software Engineer in the C&I Data Engineering division at NatWest Group (formerly the Royal Bank of Scotland), developing large-scale data systems that optimized operations exceeding £100 million in value.

My work and interests converged across data engineering, data-intensive problem-solving, and finance. 

I draw deep level of value from my corporate experience because I’m particularly drawn to building explainable and efficient models that bridge empirical analysis and real-world decision-making.
