Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Abhi Expense mobile application (the "Application") for mobile devices, created by Abhishek Mahajan (the "Service Provider"). The Application is an ad-supported personal expense-tracking service provided "AS IS".

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

The Application collects information when you download, register, and use it. This information may include:

• Your account details: name, phone number, and optional email address

• Financial transaction data: amounts, categories, sender/receiver names, and bank-related details parsed from SMS

• Budget data: category limits and alert preferences

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address)

• Device operating system and general device information

• Application screens you visit, the time and date of your visit, and time spent in the Application

SMS messages: With your permission, the Application reads incoming SMS messages to detect financial transactions. Transaction-related fields are extracted and sent to our secure servers for parsing. We do not store the full raw SMS text after processing.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time with important information, required notices, or service-related updates.

For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information. The information the Service Provider requests will be retained and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

ADVERTISING

The Application displays advertisements through Google AdMob (including banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads). AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data to deliver and measure advertisements in accordance with their own privacy policies.

THIRD PARTY ACCESS

Only aggregated, anonymized data may be periodically transmitted to external services to help the Service Provider improve the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement.

The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies about handling data. Below are links to the Privacy Policies of third-party service providers used by the Application:

Firebase Authentication is used only for phone number OTP verification during sign-up and password reset. The Application does not use Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Crashlytics.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;

• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

• with trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

The Service Provider does not sell your personal or financial data.

DATA SECURITY

Sensitive financial data is protected using AES-256-GCM encryption at rest on our servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All communication with our servers uses HTTPS. While the Service Provider implements physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

OPT-OUT RIGHTS

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or through the mobile application marketplace or network.

DATA RETENTION POLICY

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. You may delete your account and associated data at any time through Account settings in the Application. If you would like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at expenseabhi@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

CHILDREN

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, they will immediately delete it from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at expenseabhi@gmail.com so that they can take the necessary actions.

CHANGES

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

YOUR CONSENT

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
