2nd Abergavenny Junior Chess Tournament

Sunday 27th September 2026 

Llanfoist Village Hall, Church Lane , NP7 9LP

The venue is a 3 mins drive from the Llanfoist exit from the A465, Heads of the Valleys Road

The centre has a children’s playground with swings, slides and a large area outside to play between games of chess. The centre is 5 minutes walk from the National Park and a World Heritage Site.  

It will be a great day out. 

Sections,

The Under 8, Under 10,and Under 12. sections play 6 games starting at 12 o'clock and finishing at 5pm. 

 The Under 16 section will also play 6 games starting at 10:30 and finishing at 5pm.

Entry is free, but must be by the online entry form (top right). We are budgeting for a maximum of 80 children. Please ensure that if you enter and can not attend on the day that you email the organisers so that someone else can take up the place in the tournament. 

Important!! Parents are at all times responsible for their children, their own and their child's actions. 

The volunteers can not act "In Loco Parentis" to the children and are not responsible for any loss or damage incurred whilst you and your child are attending the tournament or for any personal injury  that you or your child may suffer.
