Aberdeen Child Protection Team consists of community agencies working together to promote child abuse awareness and prevention
The mission of the team is for members to work together to communicate clearly and cooperate effectively in a community effort by providing educational opportunities and treatment for children and families.
Child Protection Team (CPT) is a non profit group consisting of local individuals from the Aberdeen School District , Brown County State’s Attorney Office , Northeastern Mental Health, Child Protection Services, BACA (bikers against child abuse), YAPA, Safe Harbor, Kids Konnection Visitation Center, Lutheran Social Services and Sanford Hospital.
In addition to providing educational opportunities for the families in the Aberdeen area, any funds that are raised by the Aberdeen Area Child Protection Team are utilized, upon request from a team member, to fulfill the needs of children and families.

FUNDRAISERS
FUNDRAISERS
Throughout the year, CPT hosts fundraisers. The funds raised are put towards needs of children. Examples of fundraisers have included Koins for Kids, Hotdog Fundraiser, T-Shirt sales, and raffle items.
EDUCATION
EDUCATION
CPT also hosts events to bring awareness to the community. Previous topics have included adolescent mental health, child abuse prevention, signs and dangers of substance use, and internet safety.
