ABECC PTO

The Parent Teacher Organization helps support the students and staff by planning and funding resources above and beyond what the district provides.  We also strive to connect our families to one another and make attending the ABECC a memorable experience.   This year, we hope to continue our mission by holding some of our traditional events.

Our Mission

In conjunction with the RAISE (Respect, Achievement, Inclusion, Support, Empathy) campaign, the Anne Bradstreet Early Childhood Center PTO mission is to help build a community through timely and practical fundraising initiatives, sharing of ideas and communication while unifying and supporting our faculty, staff and parent volunteers.

Open Positions for 2026-2027 School Year
Co-Vice Presidents, Co-Secretaries, & Co-Treasurers
** Elections will take place Wednesday, May 13th at 7 PM. **

General Commitment (All Roles):

• ~1 hour PTO meeting per month (alternating virtual & in-person)

• Spearheads fundraisers, community events, and/or teacher appreciation events based on interests

• Coordination via email/text

• Team-based, supportive, and flexible

🔹 Vice President

• Supports the President and helps keep initiatives moving

• Leads key events and committees (or helps recruit leads)

• Steps in when needed to ensure smooth PTO operations

• Helps coordinate volunteers and school-wide activities

• Great role if you enjoy organizing and bringing ideas to life

🔹 Secretary

• Takes notes at monthly PTO meetings and shares recaps

• Sends out weekly PTO communications to families & updates PTO website

• Keeps website updated and key information organized

• Prints and distributes all flyers for events

• Keeps school bulletin board up to date

• Helps ensure everyone stays informed and aligned

• Ideal for someone organized and detail-oriented

🔹 Treasurer

• Manages PTO finances and budget tracking

• Pays bills and issues reimbursements for staff and PTO members

• Handles deposits and monitors incoming funds

• Files annual taxes and ensures compliance

• Provides simple financial updates to the board

• Creates an end of year graphic/flyer recapping PTOs accomplishments

• Best suited for someone comfortable with basic finances and organization
