The war began when our home was bombed, leaving us with nothing but rubble. We lost everything our home, my job, and the sense of safety we once had. My wife struggles with depression, and we can barely afford her medication. Eman lost her school, and Bayan has nothing but charcoal to draw with. We now live in a tent, exposed to the cold and rain, and fear has become a constant companion. Each day, we face hunger and uncertainty, and it feels like survival is the only thing keeping us going.
The war has taken so much from us, but we’re still here, holding onto each other. Despite the devastation, I try to stay strong for my daughters. Eman, who dreams of becoming a doctor, still holds onto her hope, and I remind her that even in these dark times, she can help others. Bayan, with her love for drawing, finds moments of peace in her art, sketching flowers in the dirt as if to remind us that beauty still exists, even amid the destruction.
Each day is a struggle, but we find small ways to survive. My family’s strength gives me purpose, and I hold onto that love t keep pushing forward. The world may feel like it's falling apart, but in the midst of the chaos, we find ways to keep our dreams alive and our spirits intact.
The war has taken everything from us—our home, our stability, and our peace. We live now in a tent, struggling to find shelter from the cold and rain, and surviving on one meal a day—sometimes none at all. My wife is suffering from depression, and we can’t afford the medication she desperately needs. Eman, my 13-year-old daughter, lost her school and dreams of becoming a doctor, but she has no resources to pursue that dream. Bayan, my 10-year-old, has lost her art supplies and now draws with charcoal on the ground, trying to hold onto the hope she has left.
But despite all the pain and suffering, my family and I have not given up. We hold onto each other, and we hold onto hope. My daughters’ dreams and their courage to keep going are what give me the strength to fight for them, for our future.
I am reaching out today to ask for your support. The situation here is dire, and we can’t do this alone. We need help with basic needs food, shelter, medicine for my wife, and educational supplies for my daughters. We want to give Eman the chance to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor and help Bayan regain her love of drawing.
Your generous donation can make a world of difference. Even the smallest contribution will help us rebuild our lives, regain a sense of security, and ensure that my daughters can continue to dream, despite the devastation around us.
We are not asking for charity Awe are asking for a chance to survive, rebuild, and create a future from the ruins. With your help, we can find hope again.
Please consider donating today to support my family in this time of crisis. Any amount will be deeply appreciated, and your kindness will help us rebuild the future we have lost.
Thank you for your support and compassion.
Sincerely,
Abdul Majeed Turkiya and Family
