This internship with the Ansys Sherlock development team offers a comprehensive experience in commercial software development. Interns are entrusted with responsibilities similar to full-time developers and are involved in writing production-quality code.
Work on a growing code base primarily centered in Java, with integrations in C++.
Participate in modern software development practices to design, implement, and validate new features.
Solve real-world problems for various industries from aerospace to telecommunications.
Currently enrolled in a four-year, accredited university.
Currently studying Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Completed at least one course in Java.
Committed to working for the duration of the internship (continuous 3 months).
Previous internship experience is preferred.
Development experience is preferred.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

As a computer science student, I want to jump start my software engineering career by starting an entry-level position or an internship. I came across an internship offered by a company called Ansys—a company that specializes in engineering simulation software and services. This internship opportunity with Ansys is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. The requirement of having completed at least one Java course and the preference for prior internship or development experience perfectly complements my foundation in programming and my eagerness to apply my technical skills in a professional setting.
