Chowdhury Amir Abdullah

I am currently a  STEM Lead Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City, where I design inquiry‑based Algebra I curricula and mentor early‑career teachers in data‑driven instruction. I completed my M.S. in Economics at North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management in 2022, following an M.S.S. and a B.S.S. in Economics from the University of Dhaka, where I graduated sixth in my cohort. Earlier, I served as a Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), contributing to urban‑development and child‑labor projects within the Economic Growth and Development Cluster. My research interests lie at the intersection of globalization, trade liberalization, and inclusive growth, areas I first explored while winning several undergraduate paper competitions—including the Best Paper (Investment Theme) award at the 15ᵗʰ South Asian Economics Students’ Meet in Colombo (2019). Beyond economics, I enjoy delving into history and geography and love discussing about ancient civilizations.
