The purpose of the Parenting & Families Special Interest Group (SIG) is to promote the sharing of information related to parent and family-focused research and clinical work. The Parenting and Families SIG’s mission is to provide a forum for learning, sharing ideas, thinking collectively, and networking. The SIG also sponsors panel discussions and symposia, participates in the annual SIG exposition, and organizes a poster competition at ABCT's annual convention. The SIG recognizes excellence in parenting and family-related research and clinical pursuits through accolades and awards. The Parenting and Families SIG seeks to start and maintain important conversations that spark innovative thinking in our field. Specifically, this website, our Facebook Group, and our X/Twitter are places to network, share interesting information related to our field, communicate important SIG updates, and host pictures of previous-award winners and from past conventions.
