Greetings! Thank you for your interest in my studio. I have been teaching piano lessons since 1998 and band in the public schools since 2006. I have a bachelor's degree in Music Education and a current Minnesota teaching license in K-12 instrument, vocal, and classroom music. My primary instruments were percussion and piano. I am a member of MMTA (National and Minnesota Music Teachers' Association), MBDA (Minnesota Band Directors' Association), former chair of Central MN 6-8 Honor Band, and MMEA/ NAfME (Minnesota Music Educators' Association). I work as a an accompanist for schools / community events, a church pianist / organist, and a freelance pianist.

In the spring of 2016 I left my position as a middle school band director to allow me to spend more time with my husband and 3 children and also give more attention to my private studio students. We present 2 recitals per school year (winter and spring). Students also are offered other competition and performance opportunities throughout the year.

My studio space is in the lower level of my home in Monticello. Currently I only offer lessons in my home studio space and do not travel to students' homes. There are 2 pianos in my studio: a Kawaii baby grand and a digital Yamaha Clavinova. Students will have the opportunity to play on both instruments.
