Welcome to my academic website! I am Prof. Ameen Banjar, a Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Technology at the University of Jeddah. My research spans machine learning, data science, and digital health, with a current focus on diabetes technology: continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) analytics, safety-oriented evaluation of neural digital twins, and federated learning for intrusion detection. During 2025–2026 I was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Manchester.

With a Ph.D. in Distributed Network Functions Virtualization from the University of Technology Sydney, I have built my career on rigorous quantitative modeling and reproducible research, moving from software-defined networking toward intelligent systems for healthcare.
