Twenty eight US states and territories have reciprocal driver’s license agreements with Germany, twenty-three with South Korea, and with a number of other countries. California is not among them, the California Vehicle Code § 12804.9 does not allow negotiation of reciprocity agreements with foreign governments.

I urge you to support California bill AB-123456, which would amend the California Vehicle Code to allow the DMV to negotiate such agreements with foreign governments. Doing so would support California's interests overseas, and encourage the business interests in the state.
