Be Aware: Mail Your Mail-In Ballots Early So That They Are Counted!
Due to recent USPS changes, mail ballots from communities located more than 50 miles from one of CA's six regional mail processing centers may not be postmarked if they are dropped off at a post office on Election Day. For example, if you live in Richmond, Sacramento, very northern Los Angeles, most eastern Los Angeles, and San Diego areas you may live 50 miles from regional mail processing centers. To ensure your ballot is counted, return it early by mail, drop box, or at a vote center. If you mail it, send it as early as possible, or walk it into the post office and request a postmark.
