Concordia Trust Awards 

This year, Concordia Trust will present four awards to exemplary graduating high school students of German, who have demonstrated outstanding academic proficiency in German for a minimum of four years, participated in German cultural activities, shown enthusiasm for the language and culture and indicated an interest to continue with German studies at the university level.  

This year’s awards are:

·         The Elke Meissgeier Memorial Scholarship, in the amount of $1,000.00  

·         The Robert L. Stocks Memorial Award, in the amount of $1,000.00

           Two Concordia Trust Excellence in German Awards, in the amount of $500.00 each.

If you wish to nominate an outstanding student of German for these awards, please contact Marlene Stocks via email - mhkstocks@verizon.net - or phone - 215.378.1314 by May 15, 2023.  Teachers will be asked to provide a letter of introduction for the nominated student(s).  Students applying for the awards will be asked to present a letter of interest that highlights their German language proficiency and accomplishments in consideration of the awards.

Designed to further develop the language abilities and teaching skills of DaF-teachers who are non-native German speakers with C-1 level proficiency. A stipend, offered by Universität Heidelberg in cooperation with the Germanistic Society of America, covers program costs, lodging, and international flights. 

April 17 🔗Goethe-Institut Sommerakademie: Globales Lehren und Lernen
A program for future German teachers offering a scholarship for training in German. For students at all levels (undergraduate and graduate) enrolled at universities and colleges in the US who study German and plan to become German teachers.

June 15 🔗Idioma Education & Consulting - AATG / ACTFL Convention Travel Grant
