I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh, where I am writing my dissertation entitled “Mathematical Models, Discretizations, and Solution Strategies for the Coupling of Free Fluid with a Poroelastic Medium,” under the guidance of Professor Ivan Yotov. My research focuses on numerical analysis and the solution of partial differential equations (PDEs), particularly in scientific computing applied to fluid flow and the interaction between free fluid and deformable poroelastic media. I am also a recipient of the Andrew W. Mellon Pre-Doctoral Research Fellowship for the academic year 2024–2025.
I am originally from Delhi, India, and my academic journey began at the University of Delhi, where I earned both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from 2013 to 2018.
