AaSalat is provided by ZABSONRE Daouda as a Free app. This service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
1. Information Collection and Use
To provide the core functionality of the app—calculating prayer times and automating silent mode—the application utilizes specific permissions and third-party APIs:
Location Data: AaSalat requires access to your location (approximate or precise).
Prayer Times: Your coordinates are sent to the Al-Adhan API to retrieve accurate prayer schedules and address information based on your current location.
Mosque Detection: If the "Mosque Location" feature is enabled, your location is used in conjunction with the OpenStreetMap (OSM) API to determine if you are within the boundaries of a mosque. This allows the app to automatically trigger silent mode.
Data Processing: Location data used for these API calls is processed to provide the service. We do not store your location history on our servers or share it with advertisers.
2. Third-Party Services
We use the following external services to ensure the app functions correctly:
Al-Adhan API: Used for calculating Islamic prayer times, Qibla direction, and localized address data.
OpenStreetMap (OSM) API: Used for geofencing and identifying mosque locations to automate phone muting.
3. "Do Not Disturb" & Audio Access
In order to automatically mute your device when the app detects you are in a mosque or during a prayer window, the app requires permission to modify your device's audio settings ("Do Not Disturb" access).
4. Personal Data & Privacy
We do not collect, sell, or share any personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, or phone number). All app configurations and preferences are stored locally on your device.
5. Security
The security of your information is important to us. While location data is sent to the APIs mentioned above to fetch religious data, it is not linked to your personal identity. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we prioritize minimized data exposure.
