Aaron is a native of Southern California and has been playing trumpet since he was 9 years old. During his formative years in Los Angeles, he studied with Buddy Collette, founder of JazzAmerica and there were virtually no bands that Aaron did not play with, including symphonic, jazz and wind ensembles, and full orchestras. During this time and these experiences, he was awarded the John Phillips Sousa Band Award and the Brass Instrumentalist of the Year on two occasions. In San Diego, Aaron has played with the San Diego State University's (SDSU) Jazz Ensembles—4 years, the Moonlight Serenade Orchestra (MSO)—since 2015, the Downbeat Big Band—since 2016, and in Washington, DC, he played with West African Roots Afro-pop sensation, Elikeh for over 5 years. Aaron brings all of his experience to jam with a variety of bands and musicians all over San Diego county!
Aaron has also taught music theory, has a comprehensive library of instructional material, and is available for private music theory instruction, trumpet instruction, and trumpet performance.
