Future of Teaching:
I hope to apply the lessons learned from UAMS's Teaching Certificate Program as a future practitioner in the community setting by acting as a preceptor and role model to current pharmacy students.
I also hope to educate non-pharmacy learners by engaging in guest lecturing or coaching on various topics stemming from my extracurricular interests from military history to coaching lacrosse teams. In addition, I hope to bring valuable CPR instruction to various healthcare practitioners and other outdoor enthusiasts.
Participation in UAMS's Teaching Certificate Program has allowed me to become a more confident disseminator of knowledge and a more confident practitioner. The principles learned through the program not only correlate to improved formal classroom skills, but also led to improved connections and consultations with patients.
