NOVELS
Awaken (复苏人) by Yong Cheng (永城)
Description: I was recruited by a Chinese film company to translate this novel for the purpose of adapting it into a television show in Hollywood. Ultimately, the adaptation was never realized, and the English version of the novel remains unpublished, but the experience ignited the spark that set me on my current path as a translator of Chinese speculative fiction.
Awaken tells the story of Qin, a present-day man who wakes up centuries from now after he and his terminally-ill wife undergo a cryo-freezing process. Qin must navigate this alien future to not only survive, but learn the fate of his missing wife.
