The Digital SAT is an exam administered by College Board typically given to high school students as a means of showing off qualifications to colleges & helping students stand out from their peers. With many Ivy League and public colleges reverting their COVID-19 era decisions on the submission of test scores, it is extremely important in this day and age that students are able to meet their goals and prioritize studying for the SAT. In 2024, the SAT went digital and adopted a new, shorter format that has been reported by many students as being more challenging than the original paper-based test. My goal is for students to be able to review all the specific concepts that are generally tested on the SAT in both English and Math & for them to adopt advanced test-taking strategies to employ on the real exam.
I, personally, am a two-time 1500+ scorer on the exam and have studied my way up from averaging 1200-1300 just a few months before I took the exam. Preparation books often do not understand the struggles students face and simply providing tricks is not as effective as engaging in the content and doing practice on a regular basis. This is my second year tutoring this course and I have personally seen the growth of students with an average 80-point jump with just a couple of sessions.
This course will last during the month of July (twenty-one sessions) and will include three digital SAT tests that are not on Bluebook, the testing application for College Board. In class, the instructor will cover all concepts and allow for in-class practice with real-time explanations and will provide worksheets to do outside of class to test their understanding of the content. All topics covered have been compared with the actual DSAT to ensure that students are prepared to employ their maximum potential come exam time.

We will be utilizing BigBlueButton, a software similar to Zoom, where students will be able to view live lessons, engage with one another, and conduct practice over the lesson.
We will also be utilizing Canvas, where students will be able to view lesson materials (notes), practice/homework, and receive instant feedback.
