For my first time on rhino, I tryed to understand the different command. I decided to reach each point by creating curve in order to make different zone to experiment other command such as polyline, circle, polygon, textobject...
Here the goal was to experiment 3D printer. At the begining I wanted to print bigger pieces but it would had take too much time for just en exercice. I finally print two smaller pieces to pratice 3D printing. The first one was realised by using offset in order to print the outline of the shape and the other one was creating by a simple extrusion.
For the lasercutter task, I decided to take one circle and extrude it with different scale layers along a void cylinder. To create that I use tools such as moved, series, scale NU, extrude... The interesting tool here are the graph mapper and the construct domain that aim to scale the different layer, folllowing the drawing on the graph.
Exploration of different option by playing with the graph mapper and the construct domain :
Here the idea was to create an organic shape as a veil that can be transform into a second skin in architecture for instance. At the begining, I tried to make it by using populate geometry and voronoi 3d in order to create a surface and substarct randomly some part of it but it was impossible because of the curve. We have baypassed the problem using finally pipe tool to make line thick.
The goal here is to create a post and beam roof structure, 60m long, 6m wide and 4m high by keeping an open face.
From the previous task, the goal here was to tried to challenge the roof structure with Karamba simulation. By definding the structure material and the load that will affect the roof we can then see the deformation. Just by gravity, the roof deformation is equal to 1.51cm but when I had more load like 5kN/m², the deformation is now 3.38cm. To improve the structure and limited the deformation I thought about adding or a cable on the left wich will work in tension or a beam on the right side wich will work in compression.
