This photo was taken at a UTC softball game where my assigment was for my photojournalism class. I was told to attend a sporting event and capture the small moments within the game. Scottie Swafford, father of one of the team members, caught my eye because of the inspirational support he constantly provided for his daughter during the game.

This photo is one that is very close to my heart because of the story behind it. I was walking around the North shore area in Chattanooga with my camera one day. And this stylish group of girls caught my attention. They all seemed to really connect and be having a fun day together. Their energy was infectious so I took their picture. Afterwards, I walked up to them and asked them about their friendship. I clicked with them so well that we all keep in touch to this day.

This photo was a portrait that I took for my photojournalism course. My classmate, Andrea, volunteered to be my model and I set up the correct lighting to make sure her face was well lit and that she had the catch light in her eye to draw in the visual interest.

This photo was taken for my photojournalism class. The assignment was to capture a moment during a sporting event that was visually interesting. I loved this moment because it represented friendship between teammates. In the midst of the chaos and competition, there is still friendship and support from teammates.

This photo is a portrait of my dad that I took for my photojournalism class. My dad is someone who I have always looked up to for his hard work and dedication to helping others. When my professor gave us the option of choosing anyone, I knew I wanted to photograph my dad. My dad does not particularly enjoy getting his picture taken. I knew I would want to get some photos of him while I can.

I took this photo of my friend Trey for my photojournalism class. I loved the way the color of his shirt coordinated with the colors in the background. Even the color in his pants also coordinate with the secondary color in the background. I also loved the expression of joy in his face in this photo. I love to capture photos that show people's expressions.
