These groups creatively and effectively transform commercially available items into weapons, enabling them to cheaply wage lethal war campaigns against the most modern military in the world .They have devastatingly attacked the parts of the world using adaptive organisational skills and agile learning.

Attacks can be in the form of Explosions, Armed assaults Bombings, Assassinations, Hostage taking and Hijacking.Among all the types Explosions and Bombings have been used the maximum number of times ,around 88,250 in the last 47 years. Armed assault being next in line with around 42,668 around the world.
When compared to all other attack types hijacking has taken place the least number of times .

Target type includes Private citizens and property, Military, Police, Government officials and buildings, Business(agricultural grounds,oilfields,etc), Transportation .Out of all the categories attacks on private citizens and property has been the maximum :43,511. An example where terrorist organisation attacked the citizens and property is the September 9 2001 attack in the US.
Attacks on Military and police have also taken place.

Explosives to cause destruction are used most number of times from 1968 to 2016.Generally,Explosive used are of two types : High and low explosives depending on the extent of damage and intensity .
Bombings and Firearms have been used extensively over the past decades .
Millions of lives are destroyed and families are estranged.
In conclusion, Global Terrorism at any level has crippling effects on Economy,Military and society.It not only impacts healthcare but also challenges a society's sense of well being and cohesion.
