Principal Investigator

Huiyang Kim

Huiyang Kim is an Associate Professor in the department of Air Transport, Transportation and Logistics at Korea Aerospace University.

He brings extensive experience from both government and academia. Prior to joining Korea Aerospace University in 2018, he served as an assistant director at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea from 2000 to 2018. He has also contributed to international aviation policy and standards through the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), serving as a member of the Separation and Airspace Safety Panel (SASP) from 2012 to 2017 and as an advisor to the Air Traffic Management Requirements and Performance Panel (ATMRPP) since 2019.

His research interests include air traffic management, airspace design and operations, aviation safety, and the development of international aviation standards and procedures.
