Welcome to Architectural Acoustics Laboratory at Kangnam University!
The architectural acoustics is the design and science of achieving a good sound within our environment. It is a branch of acoustical engineering that deals with how sound is produced, transmitted, perceived, and controlled in different spaces. Architectural acoustics is important for the design of concert halls, auditoriums, theatres, classrooms, offices, homes, and other buildings where sound quality and noise reduction are essential.
Architectural acoustics involves various aspects, such as Concert Hall or Opera House Design, Propagation of sound (diffusion and scattering), Building noise and vibration control, Assessement of environmental noise, Construction noise and vibration control, and Soundscape.
