Linda Long

Linda Long has been judging since 2000, and trained horses for over 40 years. She has trained, coached World Champion horses, youth, non-pro. Linda also coached the Israel youth team and the Australian youth team. She judged the 2012 Aphc World Championship, the 2011 Aphc futurity held during the World Show, the 2011 Australian Nationals, European Pleasure Celebration and many other (international) all-around horse events. She has trained, showed World, National and European Champions in just about all disciplines from western pleasure, trail, western riding, hunter under saddle, pleasure driving.

Kelly Hedges

Early in his career, Kelly completed apprenticeships under Terry Thompson and also a summer with Bill Horn. His credentials include NRHA judge, ApHC judge, NSBA category 1 judge, NRHA regional director, and ApHC judges' advisory committee. In 2006, Kelly won the ApHC trainer of the year award. His wife Kim is also a major part of Hedges Reining Horses. Aside from managing daily operations, she competes in NRHA Rookie Pro as well. Combined they offer over 60 years of training, showing, and coaching experience to their clients.

A. General - To rein a horse is not only to guide him, but also to control his every movement. The best reined horse should be willingly guided or controlled with little or no apparent resistance and dictated to completely.
