Empowering Safety: Women’s Security Awareness Program
The Department of Computer Science of Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikal organized a women’s safety awareness program at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Thirunallar on 04.03.2026. The program focused on educating students about women’s safety, digital security, and the importance of community support. The session explained how technology, awareness, and responsible actions can help prevent unsafe situations. Students also learned about important emergency helpline numbers, safety apps, and ways to stay alert in daily life. The program encouraged everyone to work together to create a safer society for women.
Women’s safety is a basic human right.
Safety includes physical, digital, and emotional security.
Society must work together to ensure safe environments.
Stay alert to surroundings while travelling.

Avoid isolated and poorly lit areas.

2023 - Batch 1,2 & 3 : Online Scam, Cyber Security and Food Safety Awareness Program
The program aims to raise awareness about online financial scams—especially those involving UPI, GPay, OTPs, and digital money transfers—through an interactive and gamified approach. By simulating real-world scenarios in a fun, engaging format, the session equips participants with practical skills to identify and avoid scams.

Gameplay Overview:
Participants divided into small teams
Each team takes turns solving scam-related situations
Correct answers earn points; wrong moves come with “money loss”
Bonus round: Spot phishing and fake links in screenshots

The Fake UPI Refund – A scammer asks for UPI PIN claiming a refund is stuck.
The QR Code Trap – You are asked to scan a QR to "receive" money.
Job Offer from Abroad – You’re asked to pay a registration fee upfront.
GPay Reward Link – Suspicious link from unknown source claims you’ve won money.
The Family Emergency – A hacker pretends to be a relative needing urgent money.
