Coach Cozart has 6 years of college coaching experience at Saint Augustine's University and William Peace University. While at SAU he coached 10 All-conference players and led the team to the only CIAA softball championship and NCAA Div II appearance in the history of the school. That same year, the team won the Div II National Team Batting Title when they finished 1st out of 350 Div II schools with a .366 team average. He won the southern division title twice while at SAU. He was responsible for developing the pitching into the top staff in 2015. He coached at William Peace University in 2016-17 where he worked with the outfield, pitchers and also recruitment of players. Before coaching at SAU and WPU he was head coach at Southern Durham High School where he coached 15 All-Conference players, one All-District player and one All State standout. Five of those players went on to play collegiately. He earned a baseball scholarship from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC where he earned his BS in History Education in 1994. His travel teams have won numerous championships including 12U nationals while coaching the Apex Outlaws. He also trains pitching and batting under the AAFPElite program.
